Susan Childs, FACMPE
Originally establishing her professional career in hospital and public accounting, Susan then worked in healthcare management until founding Evolution Healthcare Consulting.
She is a Board Certified Fellow of the American College of Medical Practice Executives and a member of MGMA.
Ms. Childs’ knowledge spans many specialties in both primary and specialty care with practices of all sizes.
Her background and experience with Healthcare covers Practice Administration, New Practice Start Up and Transition, Revenue Cycle Analysis, Payer Negotiations and Reimbursement Analysis, EMR and Practice Management Systems Selection, Patient Flow, Staff Workflow and Training.
Susan’s methods are straightforward, purposeful, and respectful of all parties involved. The goal is for physicians to spend their valued time on patient care, not business issues.
She is a “Practice Management Partner” with the North Carolina Medical Society and PractEssentials, and has spoken statewide on current issues critical to healthcare.
Ms. Childs is an accomplished speaker, presenting at local and national venues.
Susan works as an independent consultant with the MGMA Consulting Group on specific projects
Ms. Childs has contributed to and co-authored several publications for organizations such as HCPRO, Orthopaedics Today, Journal of Medical Practice Management and The American Medical Association
She also worked as a Contracted Consultant with the Coker Group, a national consulting firm located in Atlanta, Georgia.
Susan currently serves as the North Carolina Forum Representative for (ACMPE) American College of Medical Practice Executives.
Other Board positions held include President, Vice President, and Program Chair of Triangle Medical Managers, a regional professional organization in the RTP area of North Carolina.
Susan was also on advisory committees for several payers and local Boards including The Education Foundation for the Orange County Schools and Security Committees.
